We have had a bit of crazy rainy weather here in Savannah and a tiny tease of fall and then yesterday the sun decided to come back out in full force. That has made for some interesting wardrobe changes. Pull out the fall/winter wardrobe and then go right back to sleeveless tops and dresses because its just to darn hot!
What does this time of year translate into for me and for my clients. (wink, wink… you guys are in on a great secret tip)
I’ve made the switch to 80% cooked and 20% raw in my daily foods.
I have also been a scratch cooking fool lately and a bad blogger by not taking photos. I promise I’ll make it up to you by sharing some of my favorite recent eats and other people’s photos.
I have made baked oatmeal bars from my new fav cookbook, “Peas and Thank You”. Highly recommended by WellSavannah! (Neumann likes to eat the results!)
Of course I had to make a big batch of my own personal favorite recipe, The Marathon Burger.
I made CD’s FAMOUS Almond butter chili. Talk about quick, easy, and delicious. Just try it… I dare you!
Also thrown in the mix is an epicurious recipe, Portabella mushrooms caps stuffed with shitakes and corn.
Delicious!
Now, get to cooking y’all!

I want to come hang out in Savannah and be your official taste tester. I still can’t believe I don’t own Mama Pea’s cookbook yet – keep forgetting to add it to my Amazon orders. So sad, b/c I’ve never made a Mama Pea recipe I didn’t like, and I have yet to try your Marathon Burger recipe. I am a total slacker these days!!!
How about you just move back to Nashville and we cook together?
Heather! Come to Savannah!!!! I would love for you to be my taste tester! Get the Pea cookbook. Its awesome. Everything I’ve made from it is delicious.
Don’t make me come to Nashville to make you Marathon burgers!!! Twist my arm…
